About us

Rob George
Rob is a graduate of Adelaide University with a diverse body of work in film and television. His credits include the Emmy Award-winning mini-series Captain Johnno, the family series The River Kings, and the action/horror film Fair Game, which was re-released in the US in 2022. He co-wrote the feature film Passion, based on his stage play Percy and Rose, featuring Richard Roxburgh and Barbara Hershey.
Rob has served as story editor on the ABC serial Something in The Air and MDA, and worked as a script editor and writer for Blue Heelers and Silver Sun. He co-wrote, directed, and produced the documentary Fearless about playwright Julia Britton. His other projects include the animated series The Woodlies and Vic The Viking, as well as the documentary Trapped: Angelo and Mary, A Sudanese Story.
Recently, he produced the low-budget feature The Battle for Jericho and three documentaries for the SA History Festival: Von Loves her Modernist (2022), The Many Loves of Geoffrey Dutton (2023), and Madge & Bibs and the Advancing Girls (2024). Rob has also published his first adult novel, Lake Beauty, and written novelisations for Captain Johnno, You and Me and Uncle Bob, and Water Rats – Frank’s Story.
Maureen Sherlock
Maureen has written extensively for stage and screen. Her award-winning comedy show Alzheimer’s the Musical: A Night to Remember has been performed around Australia, in Edinburgh and in Surprise, Arizona.
Her play Ada & Elsie: Wacko-the-Diddle-oh! premiered at the Adelaide Fringe and toured Victoria; her one-woman play Coral Browne; This F***ing Lady! also premiered at the Adelaide Fringe before touring to Melbourne and London. TV writing credits include Blue Heelers for Southern Star, Chuck Finn and Wormwood for Barron Entertainment, animated series The Odd Family for Timmoon France, Ketchup for Southern Star, Gasp and The Davincibles for SLR and The Woodlies for Flying Bark.
She has also written for top rating TV quiz shows – Flashback for ABCTV, Million Dollar Minute for Seven and The Chase Australia for ITV. Maureen is the co-writer (with Rob George) of Lovers & Haters: The turbulent Times of Don Dunstan produced for the Adelaide Festival of Arts. She is also a published children’s author with four books to date, and a book reviewer for The Advertiser.
